The Denver Victorian Steampunk Society invites all discerning ladies and gentlemen, elegant adventurers, aesthetes and epicures, learned scientists of ambivalent morality and tinkerers of dubious intent, aviators, femmes fatale, genteel aristocrats and fashionable courtesans, and anyone else who eschews modern mundanity for the crafted combination of style and functionality of the Victorian age. Yes, we're all about fashion. But it's not just playing dress-up. The emphasis is on creativity, aesthetics, refinement, and authenticity - in the sense that our impressions are real, believable, not simply costumes and acting - and to live the life occasionally. Our activities are largely focused on outings and extravaganzas celebrating the culture and couture of a lost, but not forgotten age.
